So glad you made it back.  Here's our mostly Cottage White painted furniture, for a more Shabby chic, with a little industrial farmhouse added in.  And of course all our Bling

Whew that was a lot of pictures, but I think it's been awhile since we've showed ya around.  

I realize I pretty much let the photos do the talking, please leave a comment if you have questions on any certain piece or accessory.  We love to hear what you have to say.

Cottage Revamp

So we thought maybe it was time change things up a bit at the Cottage.  

We haven't moved things around in awhile, so we cleared, painted, moved, redecorated, and staged, whew it's a lot of work, but its important so the cottage will look renewed, and refreshed.

Unfortunately I don't have a lot of the process, but everything came out, the walls got painted an awesome gray(we had Miller Paint match Annie Sloan's).  Then we moved everything from the cottage to the area above

As you can see we put our black with the antique white inside the cottage.  Its a more elegant

 Pottery Barn style.

So that seems like quite a few pics for one post, if your not already a follower of the blog, stay tuned and I'll post the rest over the next couple days.  I still have our more Shabby Chic look(as seen in the first pic), our red and white sort of French Farmhouse look, some pink, some yellow, some green, and the sun room filled with garden galore.

French Country Cottage

Transformed Hutch

I picked up this hutch from Craigslist for $12, that's what it was advertised as, not $10, not $15 a whole 12 bucks.  Great right?  Except it wasn't too long before I was thinking $12 may have been too much.  Ya know when sometimes free can be too much.  It was pretty broken, the doors were definitely unusable and I couldn't get it in my head how I would fix it.  

So my husband had to come to the rescue.  He actually explained what I should do, but in the end he had to just get out there and do it, well I removed all the doors, then he had to removed middle piece of glass, and wood in between the bottom cupboards.  Then we filled and sanded and filled and sanded.  

We removed the back, it was also damaged, and got some bead board and stained it.  I painted it black, distressed it, put the original handles back on, and added the iron brackets (my moms idea) don't they just make it?

In the end I think it made quite a transformation, you can hardly recognize it, right?

By the way I'm using some of the pieces we broke off to make chalkboards and stencil words on, yeah I'm the ultimate recycler, Lol.
