The Shabby Cottage Gift Guide

What a fabulous whirlwind weekend we had. Thank you to all our awesome customers and all those first timers it was so great to see you at our Christmas Open House.

I wanted to pop in and showcase a few of our favorite unique gifts we have to offer at the Cottage this Holiday Season.

Not quite a partridge in a pear tree, but a few cotton stems in a vase.  These sought-after cotton stems can be added to pretty much any decor.  We just love em, but I tell ya they are exceedingly popular so snatch em up quick if you think they'll make the perfect gift for someone on your list.

Anything initials we have a huge variety of letters in different materials, metal, wood, galvanized tin, and more. They are a great personalized gift for anyone on your list and one of our favorites.
Initials in all shapes and sizes...

Having a little jewelry and accessory section at the Cottage has been so fun, and what makes a better gift than jewelry.  We also have adorable scarves and gloves.  Don't forget the jewels for the little ones too. How bout a tiny tiara...
Mention this post and get 10% off all jewelry this weekend.

These stained wood dice make a great stocking stuffer...super cute!

Graceful Rose Soap...our locally handmade, deliciously smelling soaps and whips in flavors like Vanilla Butter-Cream, Lemon Chiffon Cake, and Pineapple Ginger.

Enamel bread or cookie tins...for the bakers on your list.

Do you know someone who lives on a farm, or maybe just enjoys decorating in this trendy farmhouse style, how about one of our cow heads.  I mean really who doesn't want a cow head on their wall(I'll tell who doesn't, my husband, that's who) wait it's ok to get one for someone though, I'm pretty sure most husbands wouldn't even notice;).

I'll be sticking these charming little initial dishes in all my girls' stockings to put on their nightstand and hold that never ending stream of bobbi pins.
Mention this post and get 10% off all initial dishes this weekend.

We have these high quality soy candles, that are also made locally.  They come in scents like Hood River Cherry, Jasmine, and Peppermint Farm.
Mention this post and get 10% off all Vance Family Soy candles this weekend.

We also just received our brand new Shabby Cottage gift cards.  Just in case you can't make a decision.

So there's just a few idea's of some of the kinds of gifts we have at the Cottage right now.

And as mentioned on our latest email we're offering 10% off the selected gift ideas.  Just tell us you saw it on the blog;)

As always thanks soo much for stoppin.

Oregon City Snowflake Raffle

Our Christmas open house starts today, and runs through Sunday.  We will have free gifts for the earliest shoppers.  Homemade goodies(yep we'll all be baking this week) and back by popular demand our hot cocoa bar, and hot spiced cider.
But I'm actually popping in to tell ya about our involvement in the second annual Oregon City Snowflake Raffle.  It's a super fun city-wide shopping event offered by the Downtown Oregon City Association and Buy Local.  It also starts this weekend and goes till December 12.  Here's how it works.  You receive entries by making purchases at participating local businesses(we are one) and then submitting the tickets given to you at the time of purchase online, via text, or in person at the raffle drawing event.  You'll receive an entry for every purchase totaling at least $5 for cash prizes up to $1500.  You can read all the details here.  The event kicks off with a double ticket day on November 14.

I think supporting local, small businesses is super important.  If you haven't shopped main street and downtown Oregon City lately, ya gotta get down there you'll be pleasantly surprised.  There's some great new shops and restaurants. I ran down there recently to the furniture store I bought my new sofa from. (Homelife Furniture, I'm given them a plug, cause they're awesome).  It was already dark, and they've started decorating for the season, it was so pretty and festive.
Here is a list of participating businesses!

Hope to see you this weekend!
