I picked this bedroom set up at a garage sale this summer. It pretty much took me the rest of the summer to finish it. I worked on it between laundry, swim lessons, parties, making meals, driving kids from here to there, sometimes just for a half hour at a time, so I have no idea how many hours I actually have into it.
It's definitely one of my favorite projects, being a whole set, headboard, foot board(even rails), dresser, vanity, and nightstand.
Here it is before in my messy garage...
but nothing to difficult. I then sanded, primed, and painted in our Cottage White, with accents of
Paris Gray.
Here is the vanity before...
here she is after...
I wanted to leave the original handles in their original state...amazing they were all there and intact.
The dresser before...
and after...
The nightstand before...
the head and foot board before...
and after...
Unfortunately they didn't all get to go to the same home, but it took me about a day to give up on that dream, after all the point is to sell and that they did all except for the bed at our anniversary sale back in September. I'm a little behind on my posts :/.
Thanks so much for stoppin'
Katie

What a beautiful job. Too bad someone didn't get the chance to own the whole set.

Stunning, Katie! I love the whole set. You really did a great job bringing this set back to beautiful. The white you used was perfect and I love the grey accents.
Love! What a great transformation! I love every piece. Isn't it amazing how some paint can totally change up a piece of furniture.

What a gorgeous set! The bed is my favorite piece! Great job! Hugs, Leena
I love vintage vanities and this one turned out beautiful! Love to have her in my home to use.
Hugs, Lynnie
They all turned out so beautiful, you are just so talented, I love the soft look of the gray and the white, they look like they should have always been like that...
Soooo beautiful!!!!

Beautiful!! I love the all of the details in the wood work and the hardware is gorgeous. Perfect color!
I noticed that the surfaces of all pieces is smooth, even tho the veneer grain goes in every direction! did you use a coat of wood filler to mask the grain, or was sanding enough to smooth it out?
OH MY, this bedroom set is AMAZING!!! I am featuring you tonight at my Furniture and paint Party!! Thank you for linking up!
